Sandor, Joseph and me (our mother died at Auschwitz) One of my mother's four sisters also survived. She moved to Israel after the war.'
At the start of the war I was in the Czechoslovakian Army. I was a soldier like my father. I stayed in the army until 1943 when they told the Jews to leave and report to the Police. I was then sent to work in Forced labor camps in Hungary, we built railroads. I was also on the Russian front, in the Carpathian Mountains, digging tank traps with a Jewish Forced Labor Battalion. I was in Forced Labor from 1943, to the end of the war in 1945.
