Nandor was drafted into the Hungarian Army at age 20.  He was sent to a labor camp in Bor Yugoslavia.  After that he was sent to Flossenburg and then to Theresienstadt.   He was liberated by the Russians from Theresienstadt.  He went back to his hometown where he found his sister and brother who had both been in concentration camp, his sister Flora in Auschwitz and his brother, Miklos, in Mauthausen.   Nandor went to Austria and was in a DP camp until he came to the United States.  He was brought by an Uncle who lived in St. Louis, Missouri.  He eventually came to Detroit where his sister and brother were living.
