I was in a safe house run by a Swiss diplomat in Budapest, 1943-45, with my 2 year old son, parents, and in-laws. (Carl Lutz was a diplomat who saved 62,000 Jews in Budapest in 1944. He was honored as Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem in 1965 and The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation in 2005).
