Everyone survived except Hugo
Terezia was in and out of hiding during the war. At one point, she got papers from a Christian policeman, a righteous Gentile (unfortunately I never found him or his wife). My father was engaged to my mom and helped her to survive. He got her out of a schoolyard as they were being rounded up to be deported to Auschwitz.

In Budapest and in the countryside.

Stayed in Budapest until 1957

What do you think helped you to survive?
My mom had a very strong personality and my dad was also strong. He saved my mom in the schoolyard where the Germans were rounding up the Jews for deportation to Auschwitz.
