I was in Belgium from August 1938 to November 1939.
 
I was able to come across to United States in 1939.  An uncle and aunt sent papers.  My parents survived, but I lost uncles, aunts, and cousins.
 
I was drafted into the U.S. Army and fought in World War II from 1942 to 1946.  I was in Germany, France, and England.  I was a Bronze Star Medal winner for heroism under fire in Germany.  I fought in the Battle of the Bulge.  I also helped liberate Hoenfels and Bavar camps
